TruHearing® MemberPlus Program
TruHearing is the first and only state-approved discount health medical organization (DHMO) for hearing, offering deep discounts to all VSP members and their covered dependents on state-of-the-art digital hearing aids and professional services from a nationwide network of audiologists and hearing instrument specialists.
There is no charge for joining the Program ($108 value). Members can combine this program with their current health coverage to maximize the benefit and reduce their out-of-pocket expense.
In addition, VSP members may also add up to four (4) guest members (parents, grandparents, siblings) at no extra charge.
Please note: Eligibility for the TruHearing® MemberPlus Program is not extended to VSP vision coverage.

METLAW is a legal services benefit offered by Hyatt Legal Plans, a MetLife® company, providing access to legal services.
The plan covers representation for many personal legal services for you and your eligible dependents (eligible dependents include spouse or domestic partner and unmarried
dependent children up to age 23). You may receive office consultations and/or telephone advice for virtually any personal legal matter. This gives you the opportunity to discuss with an attorney legal issues that are not specifically excluded matters, even if the matter is not fully covered.

Aflac-Group Critical Illness
Aflac offers CSU employees group critical illness insurance that provides a lump sum payment to assist you with paying for expenses that accompany specified critical illnesses. In addition, Aflac provides a cash benefit for such health screenings as mammography, colonoscopy, cervical cancer screening, and others (visit website for plan details).
Covered critical illnesses include heart attack, stroke, major organ transplant, renal failure, coronary artery bypass surgery and cancer. You must be enrolled in a comprehensive health insurance plan or an HMO plan in order to qualify. (The health plan can be outside of the CSU.)

The Standard Voluntary Life, AD&D and LTD Insurances
Life Insurance: The CSU provides eligible employees the opportunity to apply for Voluntary Life insurance for themselves and their families at competitive group rates. This is in addition to any employer-paid Basic Life insurance already in force.
You may be eligible to purchase up to $1.5 million of Voluntary Life insurance for yourself, up to $750,000 for your spouse/domestic partner and/or $5,000, $10,000 or $20,000 for your children.
Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance: The California State University recognizes that individuals have different needs and has provided you the opportunity to apply for the right amount of protection for you and your family at very competitive group rates. Voluntary Accidental Death and Dismemberment covers you or your beneficiaries, in the event of death or dismemberment as a result of a covered accident.
Long Term Disability Insurance: The CSU provides eligible employees the opportunity to purchase Voluntary Long Term Disability (LTD) insurance. LTD insurance is designed to pay a monthly benefit to you in the event you cannot work for an extended period of time because of a covered illness or injury. This LTD benefit replaces a portion of your income, helping you to meet your financial commitments in a time of need.
Please note: Once enrolled, your expected LTD monthly pay-out will not increase as your salary increases. If you wish to increase your disability payments you can apply online for an increase using the link below. Our voluntary LTD group# is 648379-A.

Long Term Care Program
The California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) administers the Long Term Care Program. The CalPERS Long Term Care Program offers long-term care insurance to California State University employees and retirees.
All California public employees, retirees, their spouses, parents, parents-in-law, and adult siblings (age 18 and over) are eligible to enroll in this program.
