Catering Application Process
Cal Poly promotes an open, fair and inclusive procurement environment. The university welcomes responses from all caterers. This includes small businesses (SB), Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE), LGBT Business Enterprise (LGBTBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women Business Enterprise (WBE) caterers.
Cal Poly accepts applications year round for new caters. Initial registrations will allow approved caterer to be active for five years from the original registration date with the requirement that current safe food handling and insurance certificates are provided annually or upon expiration. Renewals for all active caterers will be requested July 1st of the fifth year. Only approved caterers may provide catering services on campus. This approved caterer program gives campus groups the option of utilizing outside catering vendors, in addition to the services of University Catering. With the support of our Cal Poly’s approved caterers, we are pleased to provide our campus community with added flexibility and variety.
