Parking Enforcement
Campus parking is a limited resource, and parking regulations are enforced at all times. A valid permit appropriate for the lot and space must always be displayed.
24-Hour Enforcement
Parking is enforced 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays. All full- or part-time employees, students, volunteers, contractors, and visitors who park on campus must properly display a valid permit.
A permit does not guarantee a parking space. The responsibility of finding a legal parking space rests with the motor vehicle operator.
When Vehicles Are Subject to Citation
- Permits are expired, or are displayed in a manner where purchase and expiration information are not clearly visible to parking enforcement staff.
- Vehicles or motorcycles with permits are not parked in the appropriate lot or space (for example, a Student permit is not valid in an Employee lot).
- A vehicle occupies a disabled parking space without both a valid DMV disabled license plate or placard and a valid Cal Poly Maritime Academy permit.
- Vehicles are in violation of any parking sign, rule, or regulation.
For complete requirements and lot-specific rules, refer to the official Cal Poly Maritime Academy Parking Rules and Regulations.
