Approved recommendations

The committee met in November to discuss base and one-time Cal Poly Opportunity Fee funds. It was provided $1.046 million in available base funds and $4.288 million in one-time funds and unanimously approved the following recommendations.

The CPOF Budget Summary reported $28,750,000 in total recurring funding for fiscal year 2025-26.

  • Financial aid: base budget of $14,375,000 and $700,000 in one-time allocations.
  • Faculty: base budget of $7,187,500 and $1,185,000 in one-time allocations.
  • Base Direct Student Support and Advising: base budget of $7,187,500 and $760,795 in one-time allocations. Additional base allocations were $310,153 for Academic Affairs, $264,000 for Strategic Enrollment Management, $388,920 for Student Affairs, and $50,000 in pending allocation, leaving $32,586 unallocated.
  • Total base budget: $28,750,000. Total one-time allocations: $2,645,795.

June 30, 2025 equity less outstanding encumbrances was $5,725,313. The 5% operating-budget contingency was $1,437,500. One-time funding available to allocate was $4,287,813, leaving $1,642,018.
