Navigating the Audit Trail

There are risks in all aspects of the campus environment. Internal controls are the business practices, policies, or procedures that help to minimize risk. This session will provide you with a foundation of risk and internal controls by understanding how they impact our daily lives as well as our work on a CSU campus.

Join Howard Lutwak, Director of Internal Audit at CSUN for a discussion of how you can:

• be able to more readily identify department business risks;
• learn the importance of internal controls in all of our jobs;
• be better prepared for potential audits; and,
• learn the "red flags" of fraud.
