Open House 2019
Parking and Traffic Information

On Friday, April 12th and Saturday, April 13th, Cal Poly will host Admitted Students Day, Poly Royal Rodeo, and many other events associated with Open House 2019. The university is expecting long traffic delays and very limited parking availability throughout campus for the multiple events. The Transportation and Parking Services department strongly recommends staff, faculty and students use alternate modes of transportation such as carpooling, vanpooling, transit, walking, or biking to campus to avoid delays.

In an effort to facilitate Open House activities and provide a safe campus environment, we have compiled information on available parking locations and road and parking lot closures listed below.

Wednesday April 10, 2019

California Blvd. will be closed at 6pm to through traffic.

Thursday April 11, 2019

California Blvd. will reopen at 7am to through traffic.

Friday April 12, 2019

  Staff/Faculity:
  • No Restrictions
  
  Commuter Student Permit Holders (only):
  • No restrictions in assigned lots.
  
  Commuter Students Non-Permit Holders (only):
  • K-1 Parking Lot (No Daily/Weekly permit sales at any other kiosks until 5:00 PM)
  
  Open House Guests (only):
  • Zone 1 - Structure 131 -This Zone is Sold Out
  • Zone 2 - K1 Parking Lot -This Zone is Sold Out
  • Zone 3 - Village Drive Structure -This Zone is Sold Out
  • Zone 4 - H-1 Parking Lot
  • After 3:00 PM Rodeo - H12, H14, H15, and H16 (if available)
  • After 3:00 PM Mobility Impaired Parking will be available in C-7 and the top level of the Grand Avenue Structure

Saturday, April 13, 2019

Shuttles and transit vehicles to pick-up at O’Neill Green until 5:00pm, transit pick-up moves to North Perimeter by Kennedy Library at 5:00pm, No through access on California Blvd. after 5:00pm.
