Facilities San Luis Obispo Notifications

Per PG&E, there is a scheduled Public Safety Power Shutdown (PSPS) that could potentially affect electrical service to the properties listed below.

The potential outage window begins between 2:00 and 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2026, and is tentatively scheduled to conclude beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

All electrical services and functions will be temporarily unavailable. This will impact lighting, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, IT services, and all other electrical loads.

This potential PG&E electrical service outage may temporarily disrupt IT services, including access to Wi-Fi, the campus network, computer labs, and other online tools. Please save any important work in preparation for the outage. If your equipment powers down during this work, please restart it once service is restored. After the restart, if you continue to experience issues, please contact the Service Desk or open a support ticket.

Truckee Road will have intermittent closures at different locations, depending on the work being performed. Access to the Fleet Services parking lot may alternate periodically and will remain available either from Truckee Road via East Safety Way or from Truckee Road via Village Drive.

Campus occupants may observe construction-related activity and noise. Please observe all traffic control measures, and exercise caution when traveling near active work sites.

To perform utilities work and the construction of the new Student Success Building.

Heating and ventilation will experience a service interruption for the duration of the repairs.

The work being performed will affect rooms E-8 through E-19.

Occupants may notice the presence of facilities personnel in the building along with possible temperature fluctuations.

To replace failed parts of HVAC equipment.

Domestic water service will be temporarily unavailable to areas for the second and third floors.

Areas including drinking fountains, water stations, and restrooms, and custodial closets will be impacted.

Pedestrian traffic will be diverted from the north side sidewalk of North Perimeter Road and the west side sidewalk of Village Drive, due to construction activity.
