Campus occupants will observe workers installing a safety rail between Administration Building 1 and Julian A. McPhee University Union Building 65. Construction-related activity and noise may also be present.

To install a safety rail at the southeast planter area.

Multiple buildings will be temporarily closed for the Big Fall Welcome event, per the State Fire Marshal.

These buildings will be closed to support safety preparations for the evening fireworks display. Pedestrian access to surrounding sidewalks and pathways in the immediate area may also be restricted.

Occupants should plan to vacate the buildings prior to the closure.

Fume hoods and ventilation systems will be temporarily unavailable to safely perform work in the Warren J. Baker Center for Science and Mathematics Building 180.

To replace parts in lab exhaust fan equipment.

Carpenters and contractors will be seen on the roof and inside the building, performing leak assessments and necessary corrective work.

Please respect all work areas and posted signage and exercise caution when traveling by these active work sites.

For leak assessments and roofing maintenance and repairs.

Heating and ventilation will experience a service interruption for the duration of the repairs.

The work being performed will affect rooms E-8 through E-19.

Occupants may notice the presence of facilities personnel in the building along with possible temperature fluctuations.

Domestic water service will be temporarily unavailable to areas for the second and third floors.

Areas including drinking fountains, water stations, and restrooms, and custodial closets will be impacted.

To address a leak and make necessary repairs.

There will be a reduction in trash, recycling, and organic waste services throughout campus over the summer.

As you prepare for summer, please do not overload trash/recycling bins in classrooms, offices, or other spaces, as custodial staff must manage this waste and heavy/overfilled bins can lead to injuries.
