Patrol Operations

Patrol Operations is the primary field response unit of the Cal Poly Police Department (CPPD). Patrol personnel respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, conduct visible patrols, investigate incidents, support crime prevention, assist with traffic safety, and coordinate with campus and local public safety partners.

Patrol services are provided in a manner consistent with constitutional rights, nondiscrimination requirements, CSU and Cal Poly policy, and the department's commitment to professional and respectful service. Officers respond to reports of crimes, medical emergencies, fire and safety concerns, suspicious activity, collisions, alarms, and other incidents affecting the campus community.
