Commute Sustainably

Commuter Services is coordinated by Transportation & Parking Services with a focus on reducing the use of single occupant vehicles and promoting the use of sustainable transportation.

Rideshare

Rideshare Employee and Student Networks are open to the Cal Poly community. Use it to find a new commute buddy, calculate CO2 and money saved, or earn eligibility for program subsidies and incentives.

Bicycles

Currently, there are over 7,000 bike rack spaces and 252 secure bike lockers available on campus. In 2019, 57% of students and 33% of faculty/staff live within 5 miles of Cal Poly – an easy bike commute.

Carpool

A carpool consists of two or more people sharing a personal vehicle to commute to Cal Poly together while splitting the cost of a parking permit. Rally roommates and colleagues to share the ride!

Amtrak

Amtrak buses pick up and drop off on campus at the Amtrak San Luis Obispo - Cal Poly, CA (SLP) stop, supporting train connections northbound, southbound, and in the San Joaquin Valley.

Vanpool

Electrical Vehicle Charging

Cal Poly has charging stations in the Grand Avenue Structure and the H-2a parking lot across from Kennedy Library. Charging fees apply.
