Event Security Services
Cal Poly has established campus-wide agreements with approved event security service providers. Departments requiring security services must obtain quotes from the approved providers listed below and select the provider that best meets their operational needs.
Except for events or services already covered by an existing contract or purchase order, Cal Poly will no longer procure security services from providers outside these campus-wide agreements. The approved suppliers are available in CSUBUY.
Approved Event Security Providers
Contact an approved provider directly to request a quote. Pricing has been established under the campus agreements, and each provider will prepare a quote based on your department's specific security requirements. Both armed and unarmed security services are available; specify the type of service needed when requesting a quote.

Can I continue using my preferred security company if they are not one of the approved providers?
No. Going forward, security services must be procured through one of the approved providers listed above. The only exception is for events or services already covered by an existing contract or purchase order. Those vendors may complete the work under their current agreement.

How were these providers selected?
Strategic Business Services, through Contracts and Procurement, conducted a competitive nationwide Request for Proposals. All of Cal Poly's existing security providers were invited to participate in the solicitation.

Yes. Both armed and unarmed security services are available. When requesting a quote, specify the type of security services your department requires.
