Before You Buy

Before you buy – consider this; you have a responsibility to help Cal Poly meet our sustainability goals. You are asked to purchase Cleaning and Janitorial Paper Products meeting one or more of the following certifications: Cradle to Cradle Certified, ECOLOGO certified (UL Environment), Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified, Green Seal certified, and/or U.S. EPA Safer Choice.

Per State requirements, all paper products purchased must be at least 30 percent (30%) post-consumer fiber by fiber weight or agricultural residue content. Where feasible, buyers are encouraged to go beyond the minimum state requirements and purchase paper products with post-consumer fiber up to 100%.
