Federal Student Loan Forgiveness

Cal Poly is a qualifying employer under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. The PSLF Program was established by Congress to allow eligible borrowers forgiveness of their qualifying Direct Loan after they have served full-time at a public service organization for at least 10 years, while making 120 qualifying payments.

Under this program, employees may qualify for forgiveness of the remaining balance due on their Direct Loan Program student loans if they meet the criteria of the program. Only payments made after October 1, 2007 qualify.
