John Madden Football Center

Project Summary:

Cal Poly is in the process of designing a football team facility with the goal of creating a home for the Cal Poly football program. The goal of this building will not only serve daily needs of the team during training time and the regular season, but also serve as a recruitment feature to bring top quality student athletes to campus.

The $45M project is Collaborative Design Build delivery method for an approx. 33,000 sf new building with a new team locker room, coach's offices with support spaces, team meeting rooms, weight room, training and medical support spaces; student athlete lounge space including nutrition area; lobby and public/reception/entrance spaces with access to the south end of the stadium, and parking. The project includes South Campus Infrustructure Renewal. The project is associated to the South Campus Infrastructure Renewal project that includes repair and replacement of a sanitary sewer, storm drainage, gas, and electrical service, as well as fiber communication relocation and broadcast streaming to Alex G. Spanos Stadium.
